Case Studies

Currently, four case studies are underway. The data for these case studies concern the following topics:

• the 2003 UN Weapons' Inspection Reports on Iraq (newspaper data)
• the use of the metaphor "smoking gun" in newspaper reporting (newspaper data)
• the debate about the dismissal of a German MP for his use of anti-Semitic clichés
• the so-called Berlusconi-Schulz debate, which fuctions as a test case for the strength of a EU-wide public sphere.
